My Background:

I've seen the benefits of weight and cardio training in various capacities over the past 15 years.  I was a collegiate baseball player who added over 40 pounds of muscle, allowing me to set many school records and improve my overall performance.  I also coached at the collegiate level, and helped my players increase their strength and performance through weight training.

As I've gotten a little older, I've used my knowledge to help myself and friends lose a few of those unwanted pounds, and through their success I decided that helping others better their physiques and overall health is my calling.

My Outlook on Personal Training:

Personal training is an ever evolving practice.  Now that I've been training full time for an extended period, I'm starting to find new techniques and approaches that work better for more people.  The biggest thing I try to instill in my clients, is that, in most cases, I'm helping them make a lifestyle change.  This isn't a super secret quick fix, nor is there one.  It's all about working outside your comfort zones and challenging your body to get better.  I'll teach you to work harder, how to eat better, and how to live a healthier lifestyle.  You just need to supply me the why (live longer, more energy, see your grandkids grow up, etc...) and I'll get you on the path to better health.

My Story:

I’ve struggled with my weight my entire life. After eating unhealthy for most of my youth, I began having a host of health issues. In my early 20’s I managed to lose some weight by changing my eating habits and exercising here and there, but was never very consistent. I gained a lot of weight during both of my pregnancies, and after having Teague in April 2006, I weighed OVER 200lbs!!! I decided from there to be a healthy mom and get in shape.  The key is eating clean, and exercising regularly.  I wanted to share my success of losing over 70lbs of fat.  That's when I discovered personal training was my calling.  I've maintained a healthy weight and lifestyle for over 2 years now, and even had another pregnancy that I exercised through the whole time!  It was my best pregnancy experience yet, as I had no problems or extreme weight gain.  Now I'm fit for life and feel the most energized I've ever felt in my entire adult life (even with 3 kids!)

My Outlook on Personal Training:

My passion is to help others achieve their fitness goals.  Whether it's losing those last stubborn 5lbs or 50lbs+, or perhaps just wanting to be sculpted and toned, or even if you want to gain muscle mass, I can develop a plan for you, and give you the tools you need to change.
